Garden Committee Announcement
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful garden at Gray's Woods Elementary! Unfortunately, because our student body is growing, we no longer have enough space in the school to store our supplies. We have outgrown our shed, and are in dire need of a second storage shed. We have a group committed to building it for us, but we need to provide the supplies. This is where YOU and your family can help! We would love to have you "pledge" an amount to cover a specified supply. Every little bit helps! You can send a check in with your student to give to his/her teacher who will see that it is sent to the office and deposited in the GW Garden PTO account. As always, thank you for your support in this wonderful opportunity we are able to provide our students!
As part of a district wide initiative to increase school garden education, our garden committee was camped out in the school lobby at back to school nights to help you learn a bit more about our program! At our table you may have noticed information about school gardens and Farm to School programming, or you may have made a donation to the shed project or learned about upcoming volunteer opportunities.
If you did not have a chance to visit the garden table you can sign up to sponsor a few boards or nails or whatever you choose using this online sign-up genius. All donations are welcome (even one cent) and all gifts will be recognized. Thanks so much for helping our garden grow!
